Admissions Process
- 1Submit inquiry and create family login on the NIS Admissions Portal. 2) Complete online application and upload transcripts and past two years of academic records. 3) Complete admissions testing and placement assessment if required. 4) Attend Orientation Meeting or Admissions Interview with a Principal (both parents expected). 5) Receive decision on eligibility, grade placement, and required supports. 6) If offered admission, pay one-time fees (Application Fee ¥50,000, Registration Fee ¥850,000, Campus Development Fee ¥250,000) and annual tuition. 7) Note: Grade 12 is not accepted for new enrollment; some grades may be at capacity and eligible applicants placed in a wait-pool.
Admissions Details
NIS operates a wait-pool system for grades at capacity. Priority order: (1) current students re-enrolling, (2) siblings of current students, (3) staff children, (4) returning NIS students, (5) siblings of past students or alumni, (6) new expatriate students, (7) transfers from a Partner Preschool, (8) transfers from another JCIS school, (9) new local students. The application fee must be paid in full to be considered; no tuition deposit is required to remain in the wait-pool.
School Day
The standard school day runs from 8:20 to 15:30 (3:30 dismissal for most students); Wednesday dismissal is at 14:00. Primary division covers ELC Preschool to Grade 5; Secondary covers Grades 6–12.
