Admissions Process
- 1Submit application form with applicable fee (JPY 22,000 for Kindergarten; JPY 33,000 for Elementary). For April 2026, Kindergarten and Grades 2+ applications open September 1 2025; Grade 1 opens September 22 2025. 2. School reviews application and notifies family of acceptance. 3. Grade 1 entry requires an interview/speaking test and a written test in English and Japanese. 4. Rolling admissions for mid-year transfers while spaces are available; applicants are placed on a waitlist if full.
Admissions Details
AIS maintains a waitlist as part of its rolling admissions. When spaces in a grade are filled, applicants are placed on a waiting list. School visits or online visits can be arranged to support applicants during the process.
School Day
Morning care for kindergarten starts at 8:00 AM. After-care is offered for kindergarten from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM and for elementary students from 4:15 PM to 5:00 PM.
Student Life
All students are required to wear uniforms. Winter and summer uniforms are provided for both kindergarten and elementary levels, with winter uniforms worn to the Entrance Ceremony in April. Elementary students and Dolphin/Orca kindergarten classes wear uniforms daily; Turtle class children wear them on designated days. Gender-neutral uniform options are available.
Aichi International School does not have a cafeteria. The school can provide school lunch ordered from a delivery company, or students may bring lunch from home.
