Wellbeing & Safety
Mental wellbeing is a core element of the school's student welfare approach. A dedicated wellbeing support team addresses student needs. A designated counselor is part of the safeguarding structure with reporting processes in place. Safeguarding policies provide education and resources to protect mental health.
KIS has a Child Safeguarding Policy and Handbook adopted by the Executive Board and Board of Trustees. All staff and regular visitors are mandated reporters; staff must report concerns to the counselor within 48 hours. A Child Safeguarding Committee and Action Plan coordinate safeguarding across the school. An Online Safety Guideline is part of the framework, and safeguarding education is integrated into wellbeing and advisory programs.
