Admissions Process
- 1Complete the online application; the admissions office will email an assessment date and a parent interview is held at the same time. 2) Families are invited for a campus tour and to speak with admissions staff. 3) Submit the completed enrolment application and required documents; applications are accepted throughout the school year subject to space availability. 4) All candidates for Years 1-12 sit an assessment test; Foundation Year 1 candidates are interviewed by the Lower Primary Heads; Years 3-12 candidates take tests in Mathematics and English. 5) Parents must provide current school records including transcripts, prior test results, and any psychological/neurological evaluations. 6) Admissions decisions are made after evaluating assessment results and school records on a case-by-case basis, also considering motivation, social and emotional development, and the school's ability to meet the candidate's needs. 7) Admissions checklist: schedule a visit, and submit Enrolment Documents, Student Medical Form, copy of birth certificate and/or passport, former academic reports, and 6 recent passport-sized photos.

Student Life
Pupils belong to six houses. House Points are awarded for outstanding effort or behaviour. At 100 points they receive Bronze certificates and a non-uniform pass; at 200 points Silver certificates, Silver/Gold cards and a canteen voucher; at 300 points Gold certificates, Platinum cards and a gold sash; at 400 points Platinum certificates and a shopping voucher.
EBIS has an official uniform worn at all times across all stages. Summer uniform: white EBIS polo-shirt with navy trousers/shorts for boys and a navy skirt for girls. Winter uniform adds a white long-sleeve polo shirt, navy trousers, EBIS sweatshirt, navy hooded top and jacket, with tights for girls. PE kit: white EBIS T-shirt, navy track pants/shorts, and black or white training shoes with a back. Labels are required; no slip-on shoes are allowed; extremes of hairstyles or non-uniform clothing are prohibited.
EBIS does not provide meals; Foundation Stage children are not allowed to purchase food from the canteen. The healthy eating policy discourages sugary or fatty foods and fizzy drinks, and families are expected to provide meals and snacks, with water available.

Mental wellbeing is supported by access to school psychologists and a school counsellor. The school aims to nurture self-esteem and confidence and to create a happy, caring and secure environment, with emphasis on positive behaviour, respect and tolerance.
