School Day
School days run Monday through Thursday with start times at 7:45 a.m. for KG–Grade 12. KG–Grade 2 finish at 2:15 p.m. and Grades 3–12 finish at 3:15 p.m. On Fridays, both groups dismiss earlier at 11:35 a.m.
Student Life
AGS uses a four-house system. Students wear AGS house team T-shirts, four in total, each featuring a Canadian wildlife icon.
Uniforms are supplied through ZAKS, a Canadian company based in Toronto, and are available at ZAKS Store in Al Mushrif Mall with an Order Center at Al Wahda Mall. The uniform set includes standard school items, a four-house team T-shirt set featuring Canadian wildlife icons, and a PE uniform required for Physical Education classes.
Students can bring food from home or purchase snacks and hot meals from the school cafeteria. The canteen follows SEHA and UAE Municipality standards and regulations, and AGS maintains a nut-safe environment.

Wellbeing & Safety
Mental wellbeing is supported through School Guidance Counselling services, including emotional, social, developmental and behaviour support, personal and group counselling, crisis intervention, and collaboration with parents and school staff. A Wellness Committee is focused on student wellbeing, and guidance resources address stress and self-esteem.
Safeguarding and safety provisions include a Health and Safety Policy with an Occupational Safety and Health policy and an OHS committee. School crisis intervention capability is maintained through the Guidance Counsellor.
