Admissions Details
XCL World Academy admits students on a rolling basis year-round as long as space is available. Secondary Years grades often have waiting lists and early application is recommended. When a grade reaches capacity, qualified applicants are placed on a waitlist in order of completed application receipt. The admissions team keeps waitlisted families updated on their status.
School Day
Classes typically begin at 8:30 a.m. and end around 3:30 p.m., depending on grade level. Students have a short morning break and a midday lunch break.
Student Life
XCL World Academy has a four-house system launched in 2019. Houses have appointed House Leaders (one teacher leader and two student leaders) and participate in inter-house events such as sports day, swimming gala, spelling bees, trivia, language and culture week, and other challenges. Points are awarded and linked to IB learner profile traits.
Uniforms are designed by students in collaboration with local designer Kevin Seah. Available online via Modal Live (modalive-xcl.com) or collected from the on-campus Uniform Store (open 9am–4pm, Monday to Friday). Black shoes are mandatory for all students — leather or sports shoes, predominantly black with non-prominent logos.
The school contracts Chartwells, an operating brand of Compass Group Singapore, to provide meals. The canteen offers multiple dining concepts: Global Bites for Grades 6–12, The Little Red Dot for nursery to Grade 5, The Pit Stop for Grades 11–12 and staff, and The Common Ground for parents. Meals can be pre-ordered via the school app or online ordering system.
