Admissions Process
- 1Check eligibility — only non-Chinese passport holders admitted, age cutoffs apply. 2) Submit online application with required documents including passports, visas, vaccination records and prior school records. 3) Schedule and attend entrance assessment (ECC: readiness interview ~30 min; Grade 1+: English language assessment and readiness interview 1–2 hours) and pay RMB 1,500 assessment fee. 4) Receive admission decision — offer, denial, or waiting pool placement. 5) Pay non-refundable enrollment fee (new student RMB 10,000) within two weeks of offer and submit Student Medical Report and attend introduction meeting. 6) Pay tuition per invoice schedule before first day of school.
Admissions Details
WYIS uses a waiting pool when an applicant meets admission requirements but no space is available. The pool is dissolved at the end of the school year and parents must re-apply for the next year. Priority categories for available places: children of LifePlus staff, siblings of current students, students from other LifePlus schools, and applicants with higher English proficiency.
School Day
Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:30 and Friday 08:00–16:00. The typical school day includes scheduled lessons with supervised breaks and a lunch service.
Student Life
Regular uniform: polo top (short-sleeve or long-sleeve) in green or white with school logo; bottoms are solid tan or navy/dark blue pants, shorts, skirts, or skorts (skirts no shorter than 5.5 cm above the knee). PE uniform: green polo-style shirt and green PE shorts with school logo, or solid navy/dark blue pants.
Lunch and snacks are provided by the school. Parents can order school lunch. If a child has allergies, it is recommended that lunch from home be provided.
