Admissions Process
- 1Check eligibility — school is designated for children of foreign nationals and cannot admit Chinese nationals permanently resident in mainland China. 2. Accept offer and pay tuition within 21 calendar days of invoice, including the non-refundable RMB 30,000 enrolment portion. 7. School Day
Daily arrival aligns with WAB's elementary routines: buses normally arrive between about 8:10 and 8:30 in the morning. Afternoon dismissal follows WAB's half-day and full-day timings — half-day departures around 12:00 and full-day departures around 15:30. The school uses WAB's campus timetable for breaks and lunch.
Student Life
Food services are provided by Chartwells within the Western Academy of Beijing environment. Lunch options are available and can be purchased using a SmartCard. A wide range of international food options is available from outlets within the school, with all meals prepared fresh daily in WAB kitchens. Offerings include set menus, custom-made sandwiches, salads and snacks, served at morning break and lunchtime. Lunch and snacks are charged separately at approximately RMB 30–45 per day.

WAB's counselling and psychological services provide individual and group counselling, developmentally responsive crisis support, and programmes focused on coping, stress management and positive relationships. Dr. Christin Topper (Educational Psychologist and Head of Student Support) provides psychoeducational assessment, coordinates external therapy services and delivers individual or group psychotherapy. Swiss School Beijing refers families to these shared WAB services.
WAB is committed to safeguarding aligned with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and Chinese law on the protection of minors.
