Admissions Process

  1. 1Two-step process: (1) a personalized virtual information session providing an overview of the IB Programme and Student Life, followed by (2) a campus tour where families meet teachers. For Grades 1–8, admission may require an assessment in reading, writing and math based on the two most recent report cards. Grades 9–12 use report cards, transcripts and teacher references (one English/Science/Social Studies and one Math reference). Admission decisions are based on academic potential, extracurricular achievements, character and overall suitability. International students must pay a 50% tuition deposit by wire transfer to receive an official Acceptance Letter for a Student Visa application; full tuition is due 10 days after obtaining the visa.

School Day

Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 6:00pm. Before and after school care is available.

Student Life

House System

The House System spans JK to Grade 12. Students belong to Houses named by Greek letters (Kappa Iota Pi, Zeta Beta Pi, Theta Sigma Psi). Houses promote community through activities and competitions including a Neophyte Week, camping outings, Spirit Day, and a House Cup.

Uniform

JK to Grade 3: grey pants/shorts, navy socks, navy crested sweater or vest, white crested golf shirt, black belt or no belt, and black indoor dress shoes. Grades 4 to 12: grey pants or skirts, navy socks, navy blazer, academic or house tie, navy crested sweater or vest, white dress shirt, and black dress shoes; gym uniform is grey shirt, navy pants/shorts, grey sweater, white socks, and non-outdoor running shoes. Uniforms supplied by Multiform Canada with online ordering or in-store fittings.

Food & Dining

St. Jude's Academy operates a hot lunch program with on-site cafeterias. Students may order lunch online or bring nut-free lunches. The Lower School cafeteria seats 500+ and the Upper School cafeteria seats 300+, with vending machines available. Menus are updated monthly.
