  1. 1Pupils are admitted at three entry points: Shell (Year 9, ~140 places), Fourth Form (Year 10, ~20 places), and Sixth Form (Year 12, ~60 places). 2. Entry is via academic entrance examinations; all pupils must be registered to sit admissions tests. Assessment is in two parts. 3. Pupils who meet test and reference criteria are invited to interview. 4. Sixth Form applicants must have a minimum of six GCSEs including three at Grade 7 or above in intended subjects; Grade 8 required for Mathematics or Sciences.

The Uniform Exchange is run by The Friends' Committee and Beyond Teddies to keep uniform costs down and encourage recycling. Shells starting September 2023 must purchase uniform from the new supplier as detailed in the Parents' Handbook.
