Three boarding houses—Melrose, Dunblane and Elgin—accommodate over 100 girls in Years 9–13, with each house tailored to specific year levels. The Violet Wood Dining Hall serves as the community dining hub. The Melrose House outdoor area hosts summer BBQs. Boarding fees are NZD 21,608 per year.

Uniform is available exclusively from the on-campus Black Watch House shop (lower ground floor, Robertson Building), via online or in-person purchase. New students must be fitted in person. Compulsory items vary by year group and include blazer, tunic, shirts, ties, PE kit, shoes and selected sportswear.
The Violet Wood Dining Hall is the heart of the boarding community, offering shared breakfast, lunch and dinner. A hot lunch option is provided with salad, smoothies and wraps; a smoothie bar is available; summer BBQs are held in the Melrose House outdoor area.
