Wellbeing & Safety
Teachers maintain regular records of each child's visible behaviours relating to physical or mental health, incorporating observations from other staff. Guidance and resources on physical and mental health are available from class teachers and the principal. A visiting psychologist attends parent-teacher meetings.
The SFIS Child Safety and Protection Policy aligns with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and applies to all staff, volunteers, and service providers. All individuals working with children undergo background checks before starting. The policy covers child protection, emergencies, and safe conduct on and off campus. A designated Child Safety and Protection Team comprising the Head of School, Deputy Head, Thai Principal, PYP Coordinator, and a first-aid provider oversees implementation.
