Admissions Process
- 1Three formal entry points: Year 7, Year 9, and Year 12. Stage 1: Visit the school via Open Events or Private Visits. Stage 2: Register online by the published deadline, pay a non-refundable registration fee (GBP 150 UK / GBP 250 international), and submit a photograph, full school report, and any relevant medical or Educational Psychologist reports. All candidates registered by the deadline are invited to Discovery/Explorer Days. Stage 3: Assessment — Year 7 and Year 9 candidates sit written Maths and English assessments and attend an interview; Year 12 applicants attend an interview and provide predicted GCSE results. Options include flexi (2 or 3 nights), weekly, and full boarding. Full boarders have access to all facilities and co-curricular opportunities during term time. Extra occasional overnight stays are available at GBP 158 per night.

Student Life
There are six main boarding houses, each with dedicated residential House Parents who support boarders at all times. Pupils are placed into houses by age and gender to foster community and cross-year interactions.
Uniform is compulsory for Years 7–11. Boys wear a blazer, grey trousers, white shirt, tie, green jumper, and dark coat. Girls wear a blazer, skirt or grey trousers, white blouse, green jumper, and dark coat. Science and art overalls are required for labs. A sport and activities kit is also required. Uniform is available from Unismart online or the on-site uniform shop; secondhand options are provided. Appearance standards include tidy hair, limited jewellery, and discreet makeup for older year groups.
Meals are provided by Holroyd Howe with freshly prepared, weekly rotating menus that accommodate dietary needs and promote healthy eating and sustainability. UK meat, RSPCA Freedom Farm certified eggs, Red Tractor milk, and on-site or locally baked bread are used; no fish on the IUCN red list is served.

Each pupil is assigned a personal tutor; boarders have a Houseparent and Tutor for academic and pastoral support. A dedicated Pastoral Team supports students in maintaining a positive mindset and developing resilience. Wellbeing talks are provided for parents, and a broad co-curricular programme including sport and creative arts supports character development and emotional balance.
The school has a Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy covering the Early Years Foundation Stage, reviewed August 2025 and due for review August 2026.
