Founded in 1958 by the Association Française du Nigeria (AFN). In 1991, an agreement with AEFE linked the school to the French authorities. The AFN Management Committee governs the school, and the Establishment Council makes organisational decisions. The Governing Board includes the director, Deputy Headmaster, Administrative and Financial Director, main education adviser, Director of primary classes, a representative of the Embassy, and student, parent, and staff representatives.
