Facilities & Programmes
Wellbeing & Safety
Formal pastoral programme in Primary supports social and emotional growth. In Secondary, pastoral care is one of three facets of inclusion alongside SEN and EAL support, all overseen by the Head of Inclusion. A dedicated University Counsellor supports students' wellbeing and academic preparation. Wellbeing-related after-school clubs are offered. A full-time School Nurse is on campus and welfare procedures are in place to safeguard student wellbeing.
LIS Chengdu maintains a formal safeguarding framework with a published Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy. A Health and Safety Committee oversees health, safety, and safeguarding procedures. A full-time nurse and 24-hour on-site security are in place. Staff undergo background checks and references; training includes child protection elements recognised by external safeguarding bodies. The guiding principle is that the child's welfare is paramount.
