Merit-based Scholarships

KAIS offers a tiered scholarship system. Middle School scholarships (S1–S3): S1 (85th percentile+) — enrollment procedure fee exempt plus JPY 480,000/year tuition waived for 3 years; S2 (75th percentile+) — enrollment procedure fee exempt plus JPY 480,000/year tuition waived for 1 year; S3 (65th percentile+) — enrollment procedure fee exempt only. High School (Double Diploma) scholarships cover Japanese tuition (JPY 480,000) but not Canadian tuition (JPY 600,000), awarded based on entrance results or internal grades and reviewed annually. A Kanagawa Prefecture tuition subsidy is available for eligible Kanagawa residents, and an economic-hardship tuition reduction program also exists.

Kunimoto Alberta International School (KAIS) is a six-year, all-girls program within Kunimoto Gakuen in Setagaya, Tokyo, serving Grades 7–12 for students aged 12–18. It is the only Alberta Education Tier 3 accredited school in Japan, offering a Double Diploma pathway in which students graduate with both a Japanese high school diploma and an Alberta (Canada) high school diploma.
