Kigali International Community School (KICS) is a nonprofit, Christ-centered international school in Kigali, Rwanda, serving PreK–12 students from 27 nationalities with a US-based curriculum and Advanced Placement classes. As the first US-accredited school in Rwanda, KICS holds accreditation from MSA and ACSI and emphasises STEM, Performing Arts, and Languages alongside dedicated social-emotional learning and learning support programmes. Admissions Process

  1. 1Confirm eligibility — students admitted Pre-K through Grade 12; age cut-offs strictly applied (3 by Oct 1 for Pre-K, 5 by Oct 1 for Kindergarten). 2. Admission testing — computerized reading and math test and WIDA English proficiency screener required for all K–12 applicants. 4. Admissions Committee reviews files and sends official determination letter by email; if admitted, enrollment instructions follow. 5. Waitlist Policy

If admissions criteria are met but the grade is full, students are placed on the waitlist for the remainder of the academic year. If a place becomes available, families will be contacted with an option to enroll. If no place opens that year, families may re-apply for the following academic year.
