Admissions Process
- 1Complete an HIS application for each child, including current report cards and the previous two years of school records, standardized test scores if applicable, medical and inoculation records, and proof of age — translated into English if possible. 2. An Admission Committee of two or three staff members chaired by the Head of School reviews applications and makes initial grade-placement decisions. If admitted, parents arrange immediate payment of tuition, the application fee, and the entrance fee. 3. If no space is available, applicants are placed in a wait pool; siblings of enrolled students, children of HIS staff and alumni, and returning students have priority.

Boarding Life
On-campus dormitory accommodating up to 40 students, available for Grades 8–12. One-time refundable room deposit of ¥50,000 (subject to deductions for cleaning or repairs). Annual room fee (weekdays and weekends) ¥800,000; weekday-only ¥520,000. Annual non-refundable dorm cleaning fee of ¥30,000.

School Day
The standard school day runs from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The secondary school uses an A-day/B-day block schedule. A dedicated homeroom block on Monday, Thursday, and Friday supports SEL and college/career readiness.
