Admissions Process
- 1Submit an online application by creating an account. Entry points are Pre-School, Kindergarten, Year 3, Year 7 and Year 11; other grades considered only if vacancies exist. Step 2: Attend an Open Day to visit the school and meet key staff. Step 3: Complete admissions activities — Pre-School and Kindergarten involve an observation session up to 12 months before commencement; Year 3 and Year 7 require an academic assessment up to 2.5 years before commencement; Year 11 involves assessments and interviews up to 12 months before entry. Step 4: Parents and/or applicants may be invited to an interview (not all candidates are invited). Step 5: Applications are reviewed and enrolment decisions made; applicants are notified in writing of an offer or unsuccessful outcome. Step 6: Secure the place by paying enrolment documentation and the non-refundable enrolment fee or Pre-School deposit. Step 7: Receive notification of Orientation Days and starting information in the term prior to commencement.

Boarding Life
Boarders are accommodated in Street House and Rawson House, described as secure and modern. Boarding Heads of Houses live on site with their families and are supported by three resident staff. The two houses together accommodate approximately 75 students from Year 7 to Year 12.

Core school hours are 8:15am to 3:20pm, with before- and after-school activities available.
Student Life
Cranbrook has 14 Houses, each with a House Mentor group of approximately twenty students. Houses are vertically structured to foster interaction, buddying and inter-house activities and competitions, providing individualised care and inter-age mentoring. Every teacher and staff member belongs to a house.
A formal Cranbrook uniform is required for Years 3–12, comprising charcoal grey trousers, shorts or skirt, a Cranbrook blazer for formal occasions, a Cranbrook tie, and plain black leather shoes. Shirts are light blue for Kindergarten–Year 10 and white for Years 11–12, worn with navy socks with a white and red stripe. Sportswear must not be worn with the academic uniform, and hair and makeup guidelines apply.
The Cranbrook Tuck Shop is open every school day and is run by Chartwells. Junior School lunches are ordered and delivered to classrooms. In the Senior School, the Hive is open at breakfast, recess and lunch, serving pasta, salads, soup, sushi, gourmet sandwiches, wraps, baguettes and burgers.

Wellbeing & Safety
The Student Wellbeing Framework supports physical, mental and emotional health through the House system, fortnightly wellbeing programmes and pastoral mentoring. The Cranbrook Student Wellbeing Programme runs fortnightly, promoting connection between students and their House Mentors on issues facing young people, with an emphasis on diversity, perspective and empathy. School counsellors work closely with Heads of Houses and tutors as part of a whole-school approach to individual wellbeing.
