Admissions Process
- 1Families complete an online application form via the CDNIS Admissions Portal, submitting passport or Hong Kong ID, recent school reports, a current photo, and paying the application fee. 2. Depending on grade level, a Student Reference Form completed by a current teacher may be required. 3. Shortlisted applicants are invited for an assessment or interview — play-based for Early Years, literacy/numeracy/group activities for older students, and personal interviews for Upper School applicants. 4. Applications are reviewed holistically using assessment results, references, and past reports; students are ranked as Excellent, Good, Marginal, or Not Suitable. 5. Successful candidates receive a conditional offer confirmed by paying the reservation deposit and completing enrollment forms; students without an available place are placed into the waitpool.
Admissions Details
CDNIS operates a waiting pool system when grades are full. Students deemed admissible but for whom no seat is available are placed in the waitpool. Waitpool status does not roll over to the following academic year; families must reapply if they wish to be considered again.
Student Life
The school operates a house system with four houses: Bear, Raven, Mountain Lion, and Orca. Students wear house PE shirts, and house assignments are part of the onboarding process.
The school uses a uniform supplied by Untold Horizons; a new uniform was introduced in August 2023 and the previous version may be worn until June 2025. The uniform list varies by year group. House PE shirts correspond to the four houses: Bear, Raven, Mountain Lion, and Orca, and are assigned during onboarding. Sports uniforms are provided for Timberwolves teams with an activity fee of HKD 500 per sport. Uniforms can be purchased from the online store or second-hand via Retykle.
Catering is provided by Maxim's Group for on-site meals.
