Admissions Process
- 1Arrange a campus visit and read the Home School Agreement and Admissions Policy. 2. Complete the BSM Application Form and BSM Medical Information form; submit with child's passport, Oman Resident Card, passport photo, latest school report, and both parents' passports and Oman Resident Cards by email to [email protected]. Required immunisations must be current. 3. School checks space for the preferred start date; if unavailable, child is placed on the waiting list. Notification by email within 5 working days. 4. Assessment fee of OMR 50 payable on or before assessment day. 5. If a place is offered, a Reservation Fee of OMR 300 is payable within 14 days (deducted from first term's fees). 6. A refundable deposit of OMR 100 is payable with first term's fees.
Admissions Details
Waiting lists exist for some year groups. Prospective families are notified by email within 5 working days if space is unavailable. Waiting list status is discussed directly with the admissions team.
School Day
School starts at 7:30am for all year groups (drop-off from 7:00am, 7:10am for Foundation Stage). Foundation Stage 1 finishes at 12:30pm; FS2–KS1 finish at approximately 1:30pm; KS2 finishes at 2:00pm; Years 7–13 finish at 2:00pm.
Student Life
BSM operates a house system; house identity is reflected in house shirts worn as part of the school uniform. House names and competition details are not publicly published.
All students from Foundation Stage through Year 11 wear the school uniform; Sixth Form students follow a Sixth Form dress code. Uniform includes house shirts. Available from ZAKS Uniform Shop (Al Muzn Mall near Al Mouj) or other retailers; a second-hand rail is also operated.

Wellbeing & Safety
Mental health concerns are logged in CPOMS and escalated to the Safeguarding Team, which works with the Pastoral Team to create Individual Support Plans. A school counsellor (Salma Ali) is available via the Primary or Senior School Office. A Wellbeing Button on the Student Portal allows students to contact the pastoral care team directly.
BSM is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare. Designated Safeguarding Leads are Saima Akhtar (Deputy Head of Primary) and Robert Hughes (Deputy Head of Senior School), with Deputy DSLs Gemma O'Sullivan and Chris Short. All staff receive annual safeguarding training. A Governor serves as safeguarding link to the Board. Policy dated September 2025, reviewed annually.
