Student Life
BISR runs a four-house system: Blunt Scorpions, Doughty Falcons, Palgrave Leopards and Pitts Vipers. The system provides formal leadership roles (House Captains and House Leaders) and regular inter-house events, with an emphasis on fair play, teamwork, citizenship, self-discipline, initiative, perseverance and resilience.
Full school uniform is required for all students. Uniform can be ordered online via the official supplier Zaks with delivery anywhere in Saudi Arabia, or purchased in-person at the BIS uniform shop at Al Hamra (open 7:30–8:30 and 14:30–15:30, Sunday–Thursday), at the campus store at Diplomatic Quarter, or at Atyaf Mall.
Primary students bring their own lunch. At Al Hamra and Al Waha, senior students can buy lunch at Paul's (open to KS3, KS4 and Sixth Form) and a pop-up canteen. At Diplomatic Quarter there is no onsite cafeteria but a preordered catering option is available. At Tabuk, students may bring lunch or use the Al Fresco restaurant's school lunch menu, ordered and paid weekly in advance.
Facilities & Programmes
Wellbeing & Safety
Mental wellbeing is a core focus under the Wellbeing Pillar and PSHE programme. The Zones of Regulation framework helps students identify and regulate emotions. A dedicated pastoral team and Primary School Counsellor provide additional support. Wellbeing is integrated with learning, enrichment and wider school life, with emphasis on belonging, self-regulation, resilience and healthy lifestyle choices.
Safeguarding is led by a designated Safeguarding Team with Board-level oversight, including a Safeguarding Governor and Safeguarding Committee. The school operates an incident reporting system, provides staff safeguarding training, and runs parental workshops. Counselling works closely with the safeguarding team to deliver brief, goal-centred interventions.
