Admissions Process

Provide required documents (photos, passport copies, school reports, recommendations, introductory video, and where applicable standardized test scores; non-English documents must be translated). 3. Admissions decisions are based on reports, transcripts, recommendations, and assessments. 4. Campus visit or virtual meeting arranged for applicants who complete applications by the deadline. 5. If a grade is full, applicant is placed in the waitpool. 6. If admitted and offered a seat, enrollment documents are required to register with the UAE Ministry of Education.
Admissions Details
ASD maintains a waitpool for full grade levels. Movement from the waitpool is not determined by application date. The Admissions team processes completed applications and notifies families.
School Day
Classrooms open at 8:10 a.m. and learning begins at 8:20 a.m. On Monday–Thursday, PreK dismisses at 1:00 p.m., K1 at 2:00 p.m., and K2–Grade 12 at 3:20 p.m. On Fridays, all students finish at 12:00 p.m.
Student Life
Uniforms are required for all students from PreK through Grade 12. The uniform design respects UAE host country culture and reinforces the school's core values. Uniforms are purchased through designated local vendors; no uniforms are sold on campus. PE kit (red shirt and black athletic shorts) is purchased on campus at the ASD school store.
ASD uses MasterCook as its food services provider. Elementary students receive pre-plated, pre-ordered healthy hot and cold lunches. Middle and high school students have a 3-course menu with four meal choices per day, including vegan and vegetarian options. Two on-campus cafés and the Falcon's Nest kiosk offer additional snacks and beverages. The campus is allergen-aware with labeling and a nutrition education framework.

Mental wellbeing is supported through a comprehensive counseling program covering academic, career, and social-emotional needs. A School Psychologist and Elementary, Middle, and High School Counseling Departments provide support, with a focus on emotional intelligence and mental health wellness.
ASD has a Child Protection Policy and framework aligned with international standards, CIS commitments, and Wadeema's Law. All staff receive mandatory child protection training, and there is a formal reporting process and dedicated team to support student safety and wellbeing.
