Admissions Process
- 1Email [email protected] with the child's date of birth, previous school, and expected arrival date to confirm seat availability. Step 2: Submit an online Application Form with all required documents (language survey, teacher recommendations, health and immunization records, transcripts for the past three years, standardized test scores, passport and visa copies, and any evaluations). Pay the non-refundable US$350 application processing fee. Step 3: Complete placement assessments — Pre-K3/Pre-K4 require on-campus individual screening; KG–Grade 10 require virtual MAP testing, a writing sample, and an interview. Step 4: The complete file is reviewed by the admissions team; parents are notified of the decision by email.
Admissions Details
AISD does not guarantee seats. Only children of U.S. Government direct hire employees are guaranteed seats provided they meet admissions criteria. Prospective families submit an application and pay the US$350 processing fee to enter a pool of candidates; if a seat becomes available, placement screening is conducted and the Admissions Review Committee makes a final decision. The process may take several weeks.
Student Life
AISD operates its own cafeteria with on-site kitchens offering vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. Breezeway Cafe serves light snacks after school and on weekends. NorthEnd Coffee Roasters operates a campus coffee shop. Campus card required for purchases; funds are loaded to the card and managed through the Business Office.
