Wellbeing & Safety

Pastoral & Mental Health

Mental wellbeing is supported through a central wellbeing team, dedicated pastoral staff, and several full-time counsellors. PSHE education promotes resilience, digital citizenship, and healthy relationships across year groups. The Ready to Thrive initiative provides safe spaces and wellbeing hubs, student wellbeing ambassadors offer peer support, and an on-site Medical Centre provides physical and mental health care. Boarders receive 24/7 welfare support including the Lotus Project for one-to-one coaching. DEIB practices support neurodiversity and mental health inclusively across the community.

Safeguarding & Child Protection

ACS Cobham follows the Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy (published September 2025), affirming safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. The policy aligns with Keeping Children Safe in Education and sets out roles for staff, trustees, and leadership. It includes a zero-tolerance approach to sexual violence and harassment, early identification of risk, collaboration with parents and external agencies, and coordination through a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Local Authority processes. All staff are required to uphold safeguarding duties.
